Six Weeks of Swim: Week Six

Suit: Beverly Swimwear
Hello Biblical Beauties, can you believe that this is the last week for Six Weeks of Swim?! Summer has flown by. I've spent this past week packing for my three week adventure, which has actually begun by now! Stay tuned to my Facebook page for updates over the next few weeks.

In celebration of the Fourth of July and this beautiful country we call home, I snagged this swimsuit from Beverly Swimwear. Bev Swim was another company I found through Instagram and they have it all: high-waisted bikinis, tankinis, and one pieces - all of which flatter every shape and size. Designed to actually swim in, these suits are comfortable, good quality, and made right here in the USA.

Thank you all for your love and support! Please keep me in your prayers as I embark on this incredible journey and continue to pray for our men and women who fight each and every day for our freedom. It is those who serve that give kids like me the opportunity to pursue my dreams. You are AMAZING!

Six Weeks of Swim: Week Five

Top: Kortni Jeane, Bottoms: Kortni Jeane, Necklace: Faith & Life Bookstore
Hello everyone! I hope you had a great Father's Day celebrating all of the amazing dads out there. Ours was full of church, pie, afternoon naps, and love. My dad has always been incredibly supportive of me and my dreams. Thank you daddy, you'll always be my #1 :)

It's week five on our current series, 'Six Weeks of Swim.' This week's suit comes from the adorable online boutique, Kortni Jeane. I found their company on Instagram about six months ago and have been daydreaming about unique pattern and style combinations ever since! With four different types of tops and bottoms as well as dozens of patterns to mix and match, each customer can create their own swimsuit to reflect their personality. To keep their suits fresh and original, new patterns and colors are constantly replacing old ones. The moral of the story is, if you find a certain pattern you love, you better order it before it's gone!! Kortni Jeane also has a men's line, several one-pieces, and options for even the tiniest of swimmers.

While surfing their website, I fell in love with this vintage floral pattern (named 'Ditzy Floral') and these darling high-waisted peplum bottoms. It can either pass as a tankini or a high-waisted bikini, depending on how you wear it.

Only one week left of Six Weeks of Swim! Can you believe it??

Six Weeks of Swim: Week Four

Top: Aerie, Bottoms: Aerie, Necklace: Powder & Jade (Etsy), Bracelet: Pura Vida
Hello again friends! I see you're back for another exciting day in the world of modest swimwear. Today we're going to take a tour under the sea...because I totally feel like a mermaid in this high-waisted bikini. This style of swimsuit is perfect for girls who aren't fans of restricting one-pieces and vintage-lovers like myself. You can even out your tan a little better, too! Aerie has a great selection of bikini tops and high-waisted bottoms you can mix and match. And did I mention they're currently having a HUGE sale up to 60% off all swimwear?!?!! You're welcome.

P.S. I may not live by the ocean, but I'm still a real mermaid. Last summer coming home from vacation, our flight got delayed ten hours and eventually canceled. We ended up having to stay the night at a hotel without our luggage. I then had to channel my inner Ariel and brush my hair with a dinglehopper, also known as a fork. It worked!!!!

Six Weeks of Swim: Week Three

Suit: Target, Shorts (Farther down): American Eagle
Hi there! It's that time of the week again to show you my latest suit I've picked up for my summer fashion series, 'Six Weeks of Swim.' This beauty comes from a magical place called Target! ;) The high neck style is conservative and very popular right now for tops, dresses, and swimsuits. It has an open back, but if you aren't comfortable with that, a strap or tie of some sort could easily be added if you desired. I'm also pictured wearing it with my favorite high-waisted jean shorts from American Eagle!

On a different note, I competed in the Miss Kansas' Outstanding Teen pageant this past week. One of my best friends, Ashley Pringle, won! She has such a beautiful heart for Jesus and I can't wait to see what she does in His name during her year of service. Ashley's personal platform is 'Protect the Skin You're In: Skin Cancer Prevention.' So...don't forget to lather up with sunscreen before going outside and protecting the body God has blessed you with!

Thanks for looking at week three, what's next week's gonna be?? :)

Six Weeks of Swim: Week Two

Rash guard: Zappos Bottoms: Target
Bonjur! I just spent the last week vacationing with my family and friend Sarah in Montreal, Canada. We had a blast! (I'll post about it soon.) Surprisingly, the weather was warmer there than it has been in Kansas these past few weeks. Bailey and I still managed to squeeze in a shoot on a day when the sun was shining :)

Rash guards typically aren't worn in my area, but instead worn by surfers or places where the weather is colder. However, they can also be used as a more modest approach for women's swimwear. I scored this cute top from Zappos. My favorite thing about their website is that it has a free shipping policy both ways! This comes in handy when you need to or send an item back for another size or return it. The bottoms are from Target because, let's face it...who doesn't love Target?

All in all, this is a sporty suit that's one of the most modest swimsuits you can purchase while still feeling confident and fashion-forward.

Have a wonderful week and come back next Tuesday for more Target goodness and the third week of 'Six Week's of Swim.' Check out the hashtag #hbbswim for more pictures and hashtag your pictures of your own modest swimwear!

Six Weeks of Swim: Week One

Suit: Albion Fit
Friends. I am so so so so excited. Because today is the FIRST DAY of my six part series, Six Weeks of Swim! I introduced the concept of this series in my last post. My wonderful friend Sofia has allowed me to use her pool for all of these shoots. Thanks Sof!!! :)

The suit for this week is a modest twist on the "itsy-bitsy teenie-weenie yellow polka-dot bikini" from Albion Fit. As many of you know, I am a lover of all things vintage. One of my favorite things about the 1930s, 40s and 50s is most of their fashion stayed on the modest side! This suit captures the perfect combo of classiness and sassiness.

Brain freeze...lol

Tune in next Tuesday to see the second installment of Six Weeks of Swim!
