DIY Glass Picture Light

Hi there! Recently, it was my best friend Sarah's birthday. I am so grateful for her friendship; this gal is a true gem. Not only has she helped me grow as a person, but in my faith as well. Keep rockin' girlie!!!

If you know me well enough, it's apparent I love shopping. When it comes to gifts though, I like to give something handmade and personal. I know there are probably a million excuses you have up your sleeve as to why you don't/can't make something homemade, like time or artistic ability. I'm here to tell you that you can pull off this adorable DIY gift with just a few supplies and 5 minutes!

First, you'll need to buy a glass block (mine was size 8x8), a box of indoor mini lights, small pebbles or rocks (optional) and a picture. I found both of these things at Hobby Lobby for under $15!

This time I opted out of using stones, but if you're using pebbles place these in the bottom of the block. Arrange the string of lights inside and set the picture inside towards the front. The lights will hold the picture in place. Plug it in and enjoy!!!

"The city does not need the sun or the moon to shine on it, for the glory of God gives it light, and the Lamb is its lamp." -Revelation 21:23

New Teacup Display

Hey y'all! :) I am currently in the process of redoing my room. Because I am so busy, I'm taking baby steps and doing things a little at a time. The other day at Hobby Lobby, I bought this shelf to display my growing teacup collection. Originally it was priced for $80, I bought it for $48, and now it's on sale for $40!!! It is the perfect size for my teacups, although some of my saucers were a little to big to fit behind.

That's my little DIY for the day! Stay tuned for more room updates :) What summer projects have you been working on?

Craft Night with Liv

Tonight Olivia and I had a girls craft night! Our friend Emma's birthday was yesterday and we wanted to make a special gift for her.

We started by painting a canvas a pretty coral color.

While we were waiting for it to dry, we also worked on mother's day gifts for our awesome moms! We both based our projects around this picture we found on Pinterest.

Liv painted a canvas with yellow chevron and added pictures along with the saying above.

I took a white piece of card stock and cut out letters with my cricket to glue on. 'Mother' was in glitter letters :)

All done :)

Back to Emma's gift! Olivia and I each chose a bible verse for her.

Here's the final product!!

St. Patrick's Day Goodies

Happy St. Patrick's Day everyone! It's a holiday, you know what that means...

I can find something on Pinterest to DIY :)

This little gift I made for my boyfriend, Isaac.

The first thing I did was make this card, which was my own invention. I was pretty proud because I don't consider myself an expert at drawing. I used gold stickles for the gold for texture.

For the goodie bag, I used Wilton's Pretzel Bags.

And M&M's of course!

Put eight rolos at the bottom and then pile the M&M's on top in rainbow order.

Ta da! A fun surprise you can make and eat.

Happy St. Patrick's day! :)
