Truly Kustom, Truly Kute + Giveaway

Earrings: Truly Kustom, Top: Old Navy, Shorts: Old Navy
Hello everyone! I hope you're having an incredible Tuesday :) I had a great weekend catching up with my friend Bailey and enjoying the gorgeous weather we've been having lately. Both prom and my show choir performances are coming up, which makes April a crazy busy month. Still, I've been finding time to enjoy the little things in life - riding my bike around town, spending time with grandparents, and diving back into reading my Bible. Right now I'm working to memorize Psalm 130!

Speaking of little everyday blessings, can we talk about these earrings from Truly Kustom?! So, so cute! I found their shop on Instagram and was fortunate enough to win this pair of earrings in a giveaway. Not only is their jewelry good quality and absolutely adorable, it's also affordable! This pair only costs $10. The two moms behind Truly Kustom do a fabulous job with their small business. They are so kind, sweet, and generous....generous enough to donate a pair of earrings for an Instagram giveaway!!!!! Check @hisbiblicalbeauty to find out how to enter!

Together with this darling peplum top from Old Navy and a pair of khaki shorts, this outfit can be worn anywhere and accessorized as little or as much as you'd like.

Tank You, APU

God always seems to surprise you most when you least expect it. When I went on college visits in California over spring break last month, I wasn’t sure if my decision would be made clear. The pressure was on: it’s not every day I can take off for a week and fly 1,200 miles to make an on-campus visit to a prospective school! But God made it clear that He has my back and He has a plan.

Pre-Visit Rankings:
#1 Pepperdine University
#2 Biola University
#3 Azusa Pacific University

Don’t get me wrong—it wasn’t that I was doubting APU or closed-minded about going there. Truth be told, I just didn't know anything about it! I almost didn’t visit because I wasn’t sure if it would be worth my time. But APU proved me wrong, and I'm so glad I gave it a chance.

Azusa was my second visit of the three. I entered the day with no expectations and a positive attitude. My tour guide, Tori, was the absolute sweetest person I could’ve asked for!!! I was immediately surprised by the friendliness of everyone on campus. I soaked in the peaceful environment, yet was intrigued that it still remained upbeat. The adorable trolleys fascinated me and I loved the uniqueness of the two campuses - one being more “homey” and surrounded by pretty foliage; the other having more of an urban feel with clean lines and large windows. Most important of all, their faith was emphasized in everything and their motto, “God First,” was genuinely reflected throughout the day.

Everyone I interacted with that day played a part in helping me make my decision: the kind receptionist at the welcome center, the man who gave an informational presentation, my tour guide Tori, my admissions counselor Emily, and the dance team member Madison. Thank you all for making my visit a positive experience!!!

I concluded my amazing visit with a trip to the APU bookstore and got this cute muscle tank. Check it out online here

I will be attending Azusa Pacific University in the Fall of 2017 and double-majoring in Journalism and Business. Thank you mom and dad, thank you Jesus, and tank you APU!

Rudolph Makeup Tutorial

Sweater: American Eagle Antlers: Walmart

Hey there friends! Today I'm going to show you how to create this cute look for Christmas. It's easy and chances are, you already have most of the supplies! Let's get started :)

Things you will need:

Start by applying foundation and powder, or whatever your usual base routine is.

Next, apply light brown shadow all over the lid. I used 'Faint' from the Naked Basics palette.

Take black shadow and and blend it into the brown starting from the outside corner bringing it into the center. I used 'Crave.'

Using black liquid eyeliner, draw a line hugging the lashline.

Take white eyeliner and draw an outline stretching from the inner corner of your eye down and curving up to the other side. Fill in.

Use the white eyeliner again to draw a thick line on your t-zone (straight down your nose and above your eyebrows). Blend using your fingers.

Apply mascara to top lashes.

Using an angled liner brush, take a light highlighter/contour and blend in with the white eyeliner you drew along the t-zone.

With the angle brush, apply bronzer along the sides of the nose. Connect the line to the eyebrow and use white pencil to make it look like a sharp line.

Apply bronzer to the bottom of your cheek bones (hollow of your cheeks). Blend blush on top of bronzer and bring to the center of your cheeks. Highlight just above blush and above your eyebrows.

Using the white eyeliner pencil, draw three small dots on the apples of your cheeks.

Take red lipstick and apply it to the top curve and bottom of your nose.

Using black liquid liner, draw a skinny upside-down triangle below your nose and fill in your top lip.

Now add some antlers and voila! You have suddenly become the cutest reindeer in town.

A huge thank you to my friend Lora for helping me out with all of the makeup you saw today!

Last-Minute Cute Cat Halloween Makeup

Need some ideas for a last-minute Halloween costume? I've got a few tricks (and treats) up my sleeve.

This cat makeup tutorial is based off of the 'Spellbound' drama I performed on my mission trip in Costa Rica. You will need:
  • White clown makeup (I bought mine online, but you can find it at WalMart)
  • Black eyeliner
  • Red lipstick
Step 1: First, use two fingers to apply the clown makeup on your upper lip area and down to the bottom of your chin.
Step 2: Outline this in black eyeliner.
Step 3: Next, draw three whiskers on each side.
Step 4: Clean up the edges for any mistakes.
Step 5: Apply red lipstick to add some contrast and bang! You've suddenly transformed yourself into a cute, cuddly creature.
If you want to embellish the look, draw a black circle on the tip of your nose. You can also wear a pair of cat ears! If you really want to go all out, take a plain t-shirt and cut a few holes or strips in them to look like rips:
Don't forget to wear a tank top underneath too so you aren't showing too much skin -- modesty is hottesty! ;)

I am personally not a big fan of Halloween; I've never liked anything evil or scary movies. If you're the same way, consider having a few friends over to hang out and bake cookies or watch Hallmark movies. I guarantee you'll have a lot more fun rather than putting yourself into a situation you aren't comfortable with!!

Happy Halloween, Biblical Beauties!!!
